John Ryle Medical Practice
We aim to provide a high standard of medical care in a friendly and professional manner. You can help us achieve our aim by following the suggestions made on this website to ensure that appropriate services can be provided when you most need them.
The site contains useful information about how to get the most from a visit to your surgery. We run many clinics for chronic disease care and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
In addition to everything you need to know about the doctors, nurses and other staff at the John Ryle surgery you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like
GPs from the Rebuild General Practice campaign talk about the overwhelming, unmanageable, and unsafe situation in primary care.
A recent poll found that 84% of GPs have felt anxiety, stress or depression in the last year and almost 1 in 4 (24%) know colleagues who’ve taken their own lives due to work pressures.
This data is terrifying, and the Rebuild General Practice campaign is calling on the Government to address the workforce crisis so that GPs are able to provide the best care for patients.
Spring BOOSTER UPDATE
In line with the Government’s announcement, the NHS is aiming to offer every vunerable adult and adults over 65 a Spring covid booster.
If you are eligible for your spring booster vaccination you will be contacted or you can visit nhs.uk/covid-vaccine or call 119 to arrange your appointment.
If you need to register yourself or someone you care for as housebound to make sure they receive their booster jab, please do contact your GP practice.

Covid 19 is still around and effecting people in different ways, it is each individual persons discretion if they choose to wear a face covering when coming into the surgery. We request that any person who does not choose to wear a face covering repects other peoples decision to do so and try to keep your distance from them as these people could be vunerable or anxious and we still need to do our best to protect people with health problems.
If you have symptoms of covid and have not had a negative LFT test you will be requested to wear a face covering. If you have Covid you must inform our reception team when booking an appointment and please call the surgery instead of coming in for any other queries also.
